Affecting Socio-economic Development
DFV is cultivating relationships. These are growing stronger and
deeper by the day as the Company grows and achieves greater success
in the global markets. These mutually beneficial relationships have
been the cornerstone of DFV’s success in providing superior
quality fruits and vegetables.
For over twenty years, the Company is closely associated with several
Cooperatives and thousands of farmers. It has been continuously
involved in the socio-economic development of the farmers and has
been successful in maintaining a performance-driven approach that
has resulted in mutual benefits.
DFV has established a dedicated fund for Cooperatives that can
be availed of based on performance. This fund can be utilized for
education, health, road development or as short-term loans to farmers.
The quantum of fund is linked to the performance of the Cooperative
thereby leading to continuous development and improvements. This,
therefore goes on to strengthen the DFV-farmer relationship.
DFV runs a Desai Certified Farmer Scheme that acknowledges good performance
at the individual farmer level. Farmers are accorded recognition
in the form of 3 levels in proportion to their performance rated on the basis of productivity, quality and technology
implementation. Star performers are further rewarded with various incentives.
